On nitro at the brewpub. Arrived at the table black with a moderate creamy off-white head that lasted until mid-glass and left patchy lace. Very pleasant aroma of roasted malt along with some chocolate. The flavor is lightly roasted malt with a bit of chocolate. Incredibly smooth and silky on the palate, and the addition of the oatmeal adds depth and body to the silky smoothness. This is simply a very, very nice stout. zathrus13 (1776) - Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA - FEB 25, 2007

Smoky chocolate coffe aroma with light bitter tang. Dark black beer with pillowy cocoa tan lacing head. Creamy smooth with heavy watery body. Nice stout. Chocolate, smoke, and coffee bitters. Light bitter with big malt bitter after. Chocolate milke. A very nice stout. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 9, 2005
Tap at brewpub. Black pour with a thick creamy light brown head (on nitro BTW). Roasty burnt toast malt aroma. Nice roasted malt flavor with tons of coffee in the finish. Silky smooth mouthfeel from the nitro, like slipping into bed naked with quality silk sheets. The addition of oats adds a little body. Overall, a good true-to-style nitro Irish Stout. Shame there’s no way to get this to go. stangger (619) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 15, 2008
On tap at Selin’s Grove brewpub. Very dark, roasted malts, chocolate, thick and smooth. Probably my favorite of the bunch. Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - OCT 25, 2009
Draft at Selins Grove Brewpub. Pours a dark brune body with a tan head. Ashy light Irish cream like flavor, oatmeal, and a lightly roast y bitter finish. Some lighter chocolate and roasted notes round this one out. A great session stout. Thorpe429 (5035) - , Illinois, USA - APR 4, 2011
On tap at the brewpub. Reviewed from notes.
Pours a deep brown with a nice, tall light tan head and a bit of lacing on the way down. Nose brings forward roast, chocolate, coffee, and a bit of brown sugar. The taste is nice as well with some chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, caramel, and sugar. Nice full feel from the nitro. Great creaminess. Drinks quite well and is really tasty. Glad this is pretty much always on.
