3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Served on-tap at the brewpub. I have been wanting to try this for almost two years now, glad to see it back on finally.
A - Pours slightly hazy burnt orange with a nice one finger tall off white head leaving small trails of lace down parts of the glass.
S - Smells of dulled tropical fruit, pungent citric hops and quite a bit of sugary sweetness. The sweetness begins to take over, making the other aromas almost disappear entirely.
T - Starts off with a nice mix of fresh tropical fruit and sticky citric hop resin quickly giving way to a big dose of candied sugar sweetness, some pine needles and a touch of chewy malt. The sweetness really started to get to me toward the end of the glass. Finish is a mix of light hop bitterness and sticky sweetness, lingering on the palate for quite awhile after consumption.
M - Medium body with moderate carbonation. Pretty smooth feel with a decent amount of hop bitterness. The sweetness really started to take over the feel, making this one a touch hard to finish.
O - Ehh I still like the regular IPA and Ol Frosty more than this. It kind of tastes like the IPA did when they were playing around with the recipe a few years back. Don’t get me wrong, it has some nice things going for it, but those other two are world class IPA’s. Give it a try if you can but the regular IPA is just better.
Draft at brewpub. Pours brown with a with a thin khaki head. Leaves trace lacing in the glass. Big huge pine notes on the nose. Lots of pine on the tongue. Has a nice clean finish. Another lovely IPA from these guys.

On tap at the brewpub 6/8/08: Pours a transparent copper bronze with a nicely-lacing froth of white head. Nice aroma of fresh resiny piny hops and sweet toasty dark caramel malts. Body starts fairly full and slightly sticky sweet with nice resiny bittering and flavor hops before a floral bittersweet caramel finish. A nice IPA. daknole (11050) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - OCT 26, 2009
Another gem from JW77. Johnathan you are just too generous my friend. Pours an amber color. Nice white head. Resin and citrus hops. Flavor is full of resin, citrus, spice and good bitterness. Beerapprentice (208) - Doylestown, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 26, 2009
On draft at Selin’s Grove. Pours a dark amber color with a thick off white head. Aroma of pine, hops, spice, honey and orange citrus. Flavor is the same as the aroma. Has a pine, malt, orange citrus, and bitterly hoppy flavour.

Draft at Selins Grove Brewpub. Pours an amber body with an off white head. Grassy grapefruit hop character with lighter pine and citrus notes. Some light hop resins and grassy finish. Nice. adrian910ss (2591) - Doylestown, PA, USA - OCT 18, 2009
On draft at the brewery. Pours a dark caramel sandy brown with a creamy medium sized beige head. Aroma of freshly squeezed orange citrus, bitter hops and light spice. Taste of orange citrus, bitter hops, honey lemon tea and light spice. Very nice. auerbrau (3203) - Ithaca, New York, USA - JUL 20, 2008
On cask at the brewpub. A glowing super-fresh hop juice pours out of the glass. Rich, orange sweet and piney. Nice aroma! Pours darker than average. A rich copper-orange tending sienna. A frothy soap in dark khaki rides the glass all the way down. Prickly cask carbonation. Flavor is just as rich as the aroma. A cask-bodied malt marries with cascade-like hops, very spicy, orange and fresh. Delicious! The cask is a good delivery for this example. A very nice IPA. jehoey (765) - Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 20, 2008
On Handpull: aroma is big and piney with citrus spice and some biscuity malt. flavor was all hops, but in a very balanced way, this is a like a way better version of a Dogfish Head IPA. medium bodied. excellent ipa Pwn3d (1962) - Manhattan, New York, USA - JUN 1, 2008
On tap at the brewpub. Extremely dark pour for an IPA, could confuse it for a porter. Robust hoppy flavor but not overdone.. Intense and an excellent IPA.
