Hazy apple juice body topped by a white head. Aroma is medium sweet, clove, light banana, lemon. Taste is medium sweet, clove, banana, some orange. Creamy light body with faint acidity. 3fourths (9331) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 25, 2007
Draft at the brewery. Barely murky, not really that cloudy or opaque for a hefeweizen. Nose of sweet corn and lemon, simple smelling sugars with just a little touch of dusty yeast. Simple, bland flavor, with sweet candy corn and lemon and only a small hint of wheat. Boring. jredmond (8204) - New York, New York, USA - MAY 14, 2008
On tap at Brewpub. Served with lemon - pours a hazy orange body - little head. The aroma is lemon-citrus, wheat and yeast. The taste is light - including the same elements as the aroma. CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - FEB 23, 2010
On tap at the brewpub 6/8/08: Pours a hazy dark golden with a thin ring of effervescent white head. Aroma of sweet malted wheat, some lemon zest, banana and clove esters and a touch of soapy German yeast. Body starts lightly sweet and effervescent with some peppery clove notes before a thinner, lightly sweet and tart finish. An ok hefeweizen, but needs a little more balance and authenticity. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 27, 2005
On tap at brewpub. Poured a cloudy gold with minimal head, low levels of carbonation apparent. Usual Hefe nose: bubblegum, clove, and bananas with spicy wheat accents. Heavy on the clove flavor up front, finish is more bananas. Nice chewy wheat base. Lighter bodied with lively carbonation on the palate. A middle of the road Hefe, but made to style. Could use a little more body if anything.

Pours a moslty hazy nice gold with a fluffy white head. Aroma is light banana- more skewed towards clove and vanilla phenols but also has a lemony citrus character. More lemon in the flavor light wheat- grainy, lightly salty, slight banana and clove. Light and tart flavor- a bit weak in the body. Not the best hefe - I was a bit dissapointed. UPDATED: MAY 8, 2011 Pours a hazy orange with a thin white head. A bit of spice on the nose and parts of those clove, banana, and other notes you expect with a hefeweizen that are strongly expressed on the finish. I underestimated this one the first time I had it. Tap at tge brewery. Pours a milky deep orange with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of ripe banana, clove and grainy wheat notes. Flavor of ripe banana, kind of sweet malty notes and some other various fruity notes. Lots of banana. LilBeerDoctor (3903) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 3, 2009
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy orange with a ring of white head. Aroma of bread, wheat, clove, and light spices. Flavor is quite bready/malty with sweet malt in the finish. Not much clove or spices in the flavor. Easy drinking, but a little dull.

Tap @ brewpub. This beer comes to me as the headless wonder, surprising must be the stupid lemon they point on there or it sat a while before we got it at the table. Pretty still looking as well, dark yellow color, cannot see through it. Aroma is muted esters surrounded by a thick maltiness of muted dough. Just a very wrong balance there. Similarly, the flavor is just too thick on the muted malts and again misplaced esters. It is not that bad but definitely needs work and this is the only strike I had at the brewpub. Even the body is a bit too thick for a hefe.
