Belgian IPA: It’s not for the masses, it’s for you. Rejecting traditional brewing dogma, the Infidel challenges the notion of beers fitting neatly into established style guidelines. The assertive, citrus hoppiness of an American IPA unites with the traditional spicy notes of a Belgian Pale Ale to create a bold, beautiful, palate-pleasing brew.

Tap at SA, The smell was divine. Spicy, Belgian yeast, fresh malt. The flavor was off somehow and the bitterness was that Alpha Dog, harsh, industrial monster. Quite unbalanced.

Very nice DIPA. Aroma typical with some oak and lots of malt. The flavor is not sweet, which I prefer. Nice balance with a fine finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma - sweet caramel malt, spice, sharp hop oil, and citrus like hops.
Appearance - the body has a clean amber. The head is around 2" and beige. The head slowly fades. Lacing is fair.
Taste - malt is a semi-sweet caramel. The hops are of a citrus nature - slight lemon and slight guava. There is some spice present as well, some coriander and light clove. The Belgian yeast is present as well. This is rather juicy. Good balance.
Palate - medium body, smooth texture, average carbonation, and a slightly bitter dry finish.

Panama City, Fl - Chan’s Wine World - 22 oz bomber. Slight haze to the dark golden/light orange pour, Fluffy, snow white head, nice film of lace. Aroma has some booziness, a touch of brown sugar, some saffron spice. Flavor has some caramel sweetness, a light touch of spearmint, some raw cake mix. Pleasantly thick mouthfeel.

Dusty basement, oak, stewed apples and pear nose. Hazy copper, thick yellow head, good lacing. Horse blanket, somewhat medicinal, whole orange. Medium body, easy carbonation. Hard to find faults with this one although the phenols are testing my limits.

Pours a deep dark orangish amber color. Aromas of big hop action, sweet malts, and more hops. Flavor has some bready maltsy tastes with nice grapefruit and floral hop taste. This is one hoppy sumbitch.

From a 22 poured into a pilsner glass. Pours a gorgeous deep amber with a thin woody-white head that took a while. Really, really nice appearance. Smells a bit of black olive juice with plenty of malt. Sweet and more sweet but in a good way. Initial aspirin taste not the most pleasant, however as the beer sat the aspirin diminished. This is more of a good thick winter ale.

bottle .. . dark gold .. medium foam head, lacing was good too .. . belgian yeast was mild, grain sweetness, easy grassy hops .. . pretty nice beer but maybe too sweet to be a pale .. . . You ever felt a bullet-proof vest against your naked skin? It’s better than beautiful. It’s... beauteous.

Picked this up tonight at the COOP for about $7.. Poured into my HotD goblet... nice 1" foamy white head.. great lacing with pretty good retention.. the brew is lightly hazed orange.

The nose is really well done for a Belgian IPA.. restrained American fruity hoppiness with a nice yeastiness... great balance between the citrus/tropical fruitiness and the clovey/pink bubblegum phenols... Smells great.

Flavor leans more toward the yeast profile but is still well balanced.. a bitterness shows up front just long enough to allow the lite pale malts and Belgian phenols sing.. very drinkable, finishes pretty dry and begs for another sip.

Body is medium/lite with a good amount of small bubble carbonation that helps lift the palate. I cannot believe this is 8%+.. NEVER would have guessed it.

Listening to some fuck boy nincompoop idiot narrate this steelers game at the bar. Maybe he should be the offensive and defensive coordinator of the team. If I hear about deangelo Williams being 32 years old knowing his role consumate team guy again I'm gonna punch him out. Anyways nose of bubble gum cotton candy and citrus. Gold pour nice frothy head. Good looking beer. Bubble gum citrus grapefruit candy pepper. Soft carbonation. Solid beer would like more carbonation. I'll fuck an old dude up.
