A very tasty beer. This special flavour -mixture of coffe, chocolate and whiskey- makes this beer one of my most favourite. That’s a proof of what Greek nature and people can make combining creativity, craftness and knowledge.

UPDATED: FEB 12, 2013 New seasonal beer for the Winter Days ! Bottle 500ml . This porter is a really very nice english style porter ! Aroma and flavors of bitter chocolate and coffee with hazelnuts! 5 different malts (pale ale, munich, coffee, crystal, chocolate malts) and fuggles hops from the UK! Very nice beer for one more time from the best microbrewery in Greece !!

Great porter. Easy to drink with nice head and smooth malty aftertaste. Moderate bitterness and nice nose

0,33 bottle. A dark brown porter with a nice medium brown creamy head. The aroma has notes of caramel, coffee and bitter chocolate. The taste is very strong and bitter with notes of roasty malts. The end is dry and bitter.

Aroma: A great, chocolate-oriented smell. Lesser creamy, earthy, coffeeish aromas emerge. A very nice combination of scents that brings to my mind of chocolate mousse and baileys. Also, some minor toffee and chestnut elements. Mouthfeel: Medium body, oily and foamy texture. Still. Taste: Mmmmmmmmmmm. Highly roasted and quite bitter. Chocolate dominates on the palate. Finish: Long, bitter and toasty. A nice, gentle tartness lingers at the edges. (I think fuggles hops impart a certain orangey quality to it) Overall: Great overall. Spot-on combination of flavours and aromas.

330 ml bottle, as Septem Saturday’s Porter, bought in Greece and brought with me back home. Poured into a snifter. ABV 5.5% Black body with deep red ruby shades on the sides of the glass. Almost two fingers of light beige head, with good retention and light lacing on the glass every time I swirl the glass. Aroma at first doesn’t say much, just a bit lactic, but as the beer begins to warm up and reaching its suggested temperature, more aromas are rising. Milky chocolate, black olives, very light hazelnut. Great taste with tons of roasted malts and coffee, subtle chocolate and tiny hints of vanilla. Quite bitter aftertaste. Medium thick body, carbonation on the low side but works pretty good for this beer. Overall a great porter, makes sense why Septem is one of the best breweries in Greece at the moment.

sweet apricot aromas/smell is amazing and clean. roasted, hint of dark chocolate taste. it’s refreshingly carbonated. this is probably the perfect beet for wachauer apricot dumplings.

Bottle at home, Euro Local Swap from Rouhlas, cheers Nikos
as saturday porter
pours ruby brown with fluffy beige head, rich and fruity, fairly sweet with light butterscotch note which works rather well as a dessert beer.
