some nice scores here, but I was not a fan. Liked the porter better. This was a small beer that couldn’t stand up to the nitro pour. Watery with a sweet flavor and aroma that lacked any depth. brokensail (16645) - Dublin, California, USA - OCT 12, 2012
Black pour with a fluffy khaki head. Kind of watery nose. Some roasted malt, a bit of chocolate and cocoa powder, and a little bit of earthy hops. The flavor is a bit sweet with some chocolate notes, a bit of roasted malt, and coffee. Light earthy hops, a mild bitterness, and some cocoa powder and cola on the finish. Opaque brownish black color with a creamy tan nitro head. Nice roasted coffee adn dark chocolate aroma. Very rich roasted coffee and chocolate flavors. Very creamy nitro feel with a little carbonation. An oddly dry floral hops and coffee finish.

Extremely dark brown (pretty much black, but with a hint of brown)...completely opaque, with a tan nitro-ish head. The aroma was nice and roasty, but nothing else. The flavor was very roasty, sweet, and slightly bready...nice. The feel was a cross between nitro and CO2 (is that possible?)...very smooth, small bubbles, slightly crisp, wet finish. I can’t tell if this thing is on nitro. The brewery was so damn busy that I could not catch the bartender to ask. It was not flat enough to be nitro, but there was something funny going on.
