Bottle, thanks Cuso, very dark allmost opaque brown colour, stable creamy beige head, aroma of cherries and dark bread with a hint of piney wood and maybe a hint of coffee, flavour of cherries and plums, a strong piercing sourness and a light body. Maybe a bit old and not how it should be, but i still quite liked it.

Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a dark brown color with a small longlasting off-white head. Has a sweetish malty caramel and fudge aroma. Sweetish malty bready caramel flavor. Has a sweetish malty caramel toffee finish.

I speak from experience when I say that there is nothing quite as enjoyable and awesome as a Slovak Dunkel poured out of a green glass bottle. I expect only perfection. Dark brown with at beige active bready head. Fresh meadow nose. Following nose was toasted malt with a cloying sweetness. Kind of like toast with too much honey. Medium bodied. Sweetness settled down after first quaff to a nice darker lager. No alcohol to speak of. finish same as body with some ash.

pivnizub (10627) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - NOV 20, 2011
Lahev (many thanks to Cuso!): Deep chestnut-amber coloured, hazy, medium-sized stable rocky tanned head, slight traces of infection in the mineralic-toasty nose; pretty light bodied, sweet-bitter flavour with a delicate acidity; short and light sweetish-toasty finish with a subtle malt-bitterness and hints of milk-chocolate. A bit thin and slightly infected. Deserves a second chance.......

rosenbergh (11532) - Tampere, FINLAND - NOV 4, 2011
500 ml bottle. From Cuso. Thanks a lot!
Dark murky brown colour with small to average size creamy light tan head. Dark malty aroma with dry liquorice, cake dough, mild caramel and touch of diacetyl. Solid flavour with roasted malt, caramel sweetness and balancing hoppy dryness. Very nice.

Bottle from Cuso, thanks! Dark brown color. Chocolate and toffee cake dough in the aroma. Malty sweet, soft roasty flavor. Thinnish. Chocotoff. Milky and velvety.

Parket (586) - Bruges, BELGIUM - JUN 20, 2011
from tap at pivobar in bratislava, 0.4l dark black coloured with small white head. Smell: sweet, malty and almonds. Taste: roasted malts, candy sugar, refreshing one but a bit monotone. A bit too sweet for me.

Quack-Duck (9484) - Down South, GERMANY - JUN 10, 2011
bottle, kindly donated by Cuso - Thank you! Deep brown, almost black colour, large beige head, very creamy. Aroma of dark malts and chocolate. Full-bodied, intensively malty, lots of chocolate in the taste, shy hints of caramel and raisins. Very nice, lovely chocolate flavours.
