(Sessler Tmavý Špeciál 21°) Apparently new batch, bottled 24/12/14. Bottle 500 ml, thanks to Cuso! Served into my new dimpled mug. ABV 7.8%
Dark brown, almost black colour on the body with little ruby hues where light meets it. Almost two fingers of beige head, thick and creamy, with very good retention, leaving light lacing behind.
Very nice aroma of roasted malts, liquorice, sugar, burnt caramel.
Taste also of roasted malts, liquorice, light toffee, sugar, molasses, caramel, some chocolate notes, well hidden alcohol. Very sweet with a sour touch on the finish that lasts only for a moment.
Full body, good carbonation, sticky on the palate. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel.
Really liked this one, great beer.

Poured from bottle. Dark brown color with big beige head. Aroma of chocolate, prunes, alcohol. Full bodied, oily texture, average carbonation. Besides chocolate and prunes is in flavor also licorice and ash. Sweetness dominates in balance and lingers also in finish.
Nice winter warming beer.

Bottle via Cuso in trade... Dark and spent oil slick... like 1500 miles past due oil change oil. Nose is malt with light chocolate tone. Thinner tan head. No lacing to speak of. Stone fruit tones start half way thru. Green bottle love! Alcohol creeps up on you and made me sway in my computer chair....maybe I should eat something with this says I. Arrgh... Oh crap now I’m thinking in Pirate. Oh my. Finish rounds up with malt chocolate and some plum. Nice! argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - MAR 29, 2013

Black colour with a big foamy tan head.
The aroma is caramel sweetness, buttery sweetness, dark fruits, malt and mild chocolate. The flavour is dark chocolate, malt, dark fruits but also some sourish berries.
bottle, donated by cuso, d’akujem! Hazy deep brown colour, beige head. Solid malty base, robust, hints of caramel and raisins plus some dark berries (blackcurrant, blackberries) that add some sourness. Nice one.
