pivnizub (10844) - Bochum, Porř, GERMANY - NOV 23, 2005
Bottle: Golden coloured, thin white foamy layer; grainy and cardboardy nose, a bit sourish with a tinge of fruitiness (oranges); mild grainy taste in the beginning; very shy bitter flavour; fizzy mouthfeel; mild, delicate grainy finish with an illusion of a tart bitterness. Geiserich (4644) - Linz, AUSTRIA - SEP 26, 2005
Bottled: MoritzF (10142) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - AUG 23, 2005
Quite unspectacular aroma, but not unpleasant, Light malty sweetness. Golden color. Grainy flavor, some malt notes. Astringent finish with grainy notes.
(bottle) Deep golden body with a medium foamy white head. This one has the darkest Kölsch body I´ve ever seen and looks more like a Bohemian Pilsener than a Kölsch. Malty nose with a touch of fruitiness. Very malts accentuated taste complemented with a somewhat indeterminable fruity note and a dry and slightly hoppy finish. dortmunder (961) - Herdecke, GERMANY - DEC 30, 2004
Bottled. Golden colour. Medium lacey, but diminishing head. Slightly floral, grassy aroma. Fruity, hoppy taste ending in a medium dry finish. A drinkable and decent Kölsch. rauchbier (3940) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - DEC 6, 2004
Bottle, from a supermarket in Köln. Deep gold, shortlived white head and gentle condition. Faint malt and hop in the nose, low starchy malt and gentle hop flavours in the mouth. Low hop bitterness in the finish.
nigos (631) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - SEP 13, 2004
Deep golden hue with a decent white foamy head. Petrol like malty nose. Nice floral taste with a good blast of citrus. A decent example of Kolsch. Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 9, 2004
Golden color with big fastly vanishing head. Sweet and malty aroma. Strong and nice carbonation. Light bodied. Standard malty flavor with mild hops. Refreshing beer with good carbonation, but nothing special. Oakes (19013) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 18, 2004
Clear golden colour. Slightly fruity ester aroma. A little bit of hop, not much though. Same deal with the malt. Very light Kolsch. TBone (18407) - Pori, FINLAND - AUG 1, 2004
Bottled jutuahol (190) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - JUL 30, 2004
Lager color, small white head. Fresh, crisp nose. Malty, crisp but kind of thin. Long but mild bitter finish.
Typical kölsch color, medium head. Average kölsch with notes of fruitness in flavor, a bit dry. Medium bodied, maybe a bit one-dimensional.
