July 2012. 22 oz. bottle. Amber color with a thin white head. There is something with this IPA that throws it off balance. It’s enjoyable and drinkable, but something it doesn’t quite come together.

Deep hazy amber coloured body with almost a brown tint and a nice, two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of hops, alcohol, earth, light caramel and a hint of pine. Medium-bodied; Strong hoppy flavour with a pine and grapefruit note, some light caramel and sugar flavours and a good bitterness at the end showing grapefruit and pine. Aftertaste shows a pungent hoppiness with some strong malt notes and a good bitterness. Overall, a nice IPA, not sublime, but good, with a great malt balance and some good complexity. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Portland (downtown), Oregon for US$4.29 a few minutes ago on 11-April-2013 sampled in my hotel room the same day here in Portland.

Creamy-smooth texture with mild carbonation. Nice and foamy head. Deep amber. Very spicy and piney. Dank as well. Grapefruit-like bitterness. More malt forward than most IPAs. Nutty and toasty. Pretty bold IPA, in general. Earthy, wholesome, flavorful.

Thin head but good retention, hazy copper colored body. The aroma is all lemon and grapefruit. Bold and standard. The taste is mild at first, almost watery, then building bitterness to the end. Lower carbonation and medium body. A normal IPA in the big world of IPAs.

AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - DEC 26, 2012
Clear dark amber color with ivory sheen. Pine, fruity, spicy, mild dank hop aromas. medium body, average carbonation. Citrusy, caramel flavors with a big drying bitter finish--super hoppy--not bad.

On tap at Brewforia, Eagle. Hazy amber/chestnut with a thin tan head. Malty woody aroma and a quite bitter hop bite. Pretty strong at 7% and a lingering papery bitterness at the end.

Its not something I’d call a hop monster. I mean its pretty fucking hoppy, mostly of strong resins, bitter but not too complex.

On tap at the brewpub. Nice balance with a solid bitter finish. A bit weak in the middle.

My second new found Brewery of the night. Another Oregon Co. of course. It’s a very unique IPA, like nothing I have ever had before. Because of this uniqueness, I like it.
