This traditional Bohemian Pilsner is light, crisp and has a wonderful hop aroma that balances the malty all Barley malt from Germany.

Pours a finger of head on a clear straw body. The aroma is metal and a little lemon. The taste is solid pine bitterness with a watery finish. The texture is crisp. Great aroma and good taste.

Bomber from Roth’s. 5%. Medium golden/straw in color. Grains make up most of the nose. A sort of creaminess as well. Light and grassy up front with a touch of breadiness. Light crisp bitter finish. Drinkable and pretty clean.

On tap. A: Clear straw with a thin, dying white head. N: Grist, biscuit, grape leave, black peppercorn, red licorice, coriander. T: Nicely sweet, light bitterness M: Creamy mouthfeel over a light body. O: Clean and tasty. I really appreciate this type of beer. Not a great one for its style, but it’s not bad, either.

Too basic for me. Boring appearance and just a tad better than your average pilsner. Next...

UPDATED: JUL 13, 2013 Bottle to swill at the beach. A simple and gassy pilsner with a lot of semi-sweet rice puff, cereal grain cracker malt with some gravel / cement mix minerality and dirtiness. Hops seem like Saaz but are more vegetal with very light touches of pineapple esters. Potato starch and grain husks with some light DMS notes (corn, carrot, barley vegetable stew). Light body, effervescent, medium acid, medium low sweetness.

Bomber from Made in Oregon. Pours translucent gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is bready and spicy/grassy. Med body. Flavor is bready and there’s some distinct noble hop spice and grass. It’s on the bitter side, and is quite drinkable.

22. Pours a cloudy toffeeish medium amber with a scant white head. Mild tangy butter nose. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Butter and grass on the mid palate. Soft slick finish.

On tap at Seven Brides brewing, totally gross. Wonderful macrolager after flavor. Couldn’t finish a taster.

Bottle:   Pale straw, hazy, large frothy white head, very sticky lacing.   Tart nose, almost like unripened berry skin.   Something is off here.   Tart grassiness, almost seems like a gueuze of sorts.   Backside has a sour touch to it.   Its also very airy.   Thinking there is something up with this bottle.   Not a bad beer, but certainly not a Pils.   Comes across as an Ale and not a Lager.   Seems like a tart, bordering on sour, grassy type beer.   Need to revisit this one.   I think this bottle is off.

Oregon Brewers Festival 2010 – Portland, OR Golden clear in color with a thin head. Nice aroma with a light malt and hops balance. Touch of fruitiness from the hops. Very crisp beer this is a great hot day in the yard beer.
