Floral Golden Ale
A summery, sparkling golden ale brewed with 4 hop varieties to give a complex, flowery aroma and a satisfying finish.
Dursley Steam Bitter was first brewed in 2007 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the “Dursley Donkey”, the branch line which once served the villages of Dursley, Cam and Coaley. It quickly became a firm favourite with punters and we’ve brewed it on a regular basis ever since.

Cask (hand pump) at Anchor pub at Tintern abbey ruins. Hint of grain in aroma. Cloudy gold. Has a very full nut malt flavor with a bit of smoke as well. Great feel. Well done.

Cask, gravity at Cheltenham Town Hall, @ Cheltenham Folk Festival w/e Sat’ 13th Feb’ 2010 Pours gold/light amber with a few lingering bubbles. Very tradtiional bitter in both style, appearance and flavour, some sweet malts show but there is a slightly rustic earthy edge to this, its a bit dry, its quite decent. A6 A4 F7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Shit, lost my notes. Light brown, small head. Dry musty mushroomy aroma, good old fashioned bitter feel. Watery palate, but refreshing, carbonation low. Simply slightly sweet malts, but more of the taste is dry barky musty hops. Finish is musty and undergrowthy. Old-school bitter.
Rerate: Gravicask (Bishops Stortford BF2011) 6:3:6:3:13=3.1. Identical numbers, and almost as few notes: "simple bitter".

Cask Real Ale 0.25L glass. Pale head of medium size bubbles. Slightly hazy pale golden colour with some orange. Mild malty nose. Roasty slightly grassy taste at the end some hoppy bitterness. Slightly waterly. Maybe it’s better after a few days.

Cask Handpump at the GBBF Earl’s Court, London 09/08/2008 Hoppy aroma. Golden coloured hoppy and fruity with a little dryness and roast malt in a crisp finish.

Christian (13670) - Odense, DENMARK - JUL 30, 2009
Cloudy pale amber with a small white head. Fruity and malty aroma with a citrus note. Clean and thin fruity flavour

Cask, 4.2% at GBBF08. Hazy grey copper colour. Small stable head. Low bitterness. Boring.

Nekronos (4175) - Xalapa, MEXICO - AUG 29, 2008

A Mes rate: cask handpump from the Volunteers Arms at GBBF thanks to Christain.
Hazy gold with a thin white rim. Lovely grassy hop aroma that is carried really well by and earthy malt backbone. The flavour however is all wheaty a little out of balance and far from the quality of the aroma. Dry bitter finish brings it just about back on track.

oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - AUG 22, 2008
[email protected] Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is mild fruits, yeast, grass and some mild flowery notes. Flavour is much the same. Rather dry and also has some rather plastic notes in the finish.
