Blond very bright body, white frothy head, which fully diminishes, fairly lacing. Hoppy aroma, citruslike. Light sweet-bitter initial flavour. Bitter finish.

From old tasting notes. Clear, bright gold color with small bubble carbonation leading to a dense creamy off white head. Fragrant fruity malt nose. intense hop character in foretaste dominates the palate. Bittersweet malty finish and aftertaste with a hint of dry hoppiness. Not as complex as some Belgian ales, but very well hopped and full bodied. Quite good.

Pyrmir (6126) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - MAR 13, 2015
Bottled during Brussels vacation. Hazy golden with white head. Aroma sweet and fruity, grain, grain dust, light chlorine. Taste is medium sweet, malty, grain dust, light wheat, yeast, fruit with a sweet finish.

Alengrin (5438) - BELGIUM - FEB 10, 2015
Classic Limburg ale, one of the very few from Martens which are commercialized under their own name; the name of the beer refers to the Wallonian saison tradition. Rating from old notes. Peach blonde with medium, off-white head; sweetish fruitiness (pineapple, peach, apple peel), bready and somewhat caramelly maltiness, yeasty touch, lightly sourish accent actually enhancing drinkability, herbal hop bitterishness in the finish. Nothing very complex, but balanced and relatively refined for such an old school beer, as well as very quenching. Liked this when I tasted it ten or twelve years ago, but I’ll retaste it just to be sure as it may have changed meanwhile.

kraddel (8353) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - AUG 3, 2014
Taster from draft at au phare . Pours unclear , light orange . Good , cloudy white head . Smell is heavy on coriander . Taste is spiced ( coriander ) yet very common . If anything , it reminds of blanche de namur . Bit sweet , but in blalance . Certainly ok .
