Publican is an American Pale Ale with moderate bitterness. It has a strong floral nose and a well rounded hop profile that travels from the tip to the back of the toungue with every sip.

I am not going to watch the laceing of the beer or sip it in between perfect bottled water. Sniff if it is floral or does not fart hydrogen sulfates at me. It is another good beer to have a few of with a meal. For 4% and a American pale ale I am glad I was not overwhelmed with the hop notes. Please try it when you are in the Utah grocery markets.

Bomber in Utah (obviously)

Massive foam upon opening and even the most careful pour (hence the 2 for appearance). Decent hop flavors, a bit soapy. Quite acceptable for a 4% pale ale.

12 ounce bottle from hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. A LOT of foam that is off white. Super thick lacing. The beer is clear golden amber. An aroma of citrus that is gentle and kind of generic. Some caramel and cereal malts. Feel is on the thin side. That citrus is tasted along with cinnamon and some tropical fruit. Light melon. Not a lot of flavor but, hey, its a 4% pale ale.

Shared with Strykzone of Facebook Chat. Gold with a big white head. Nose of citrus. Medium body. Flavor of tropical fruit. Finished mildly bitter like an APA. Nice session beer.

Coppery color with a whitish head. Full and balanced with a slightly dry and bitter hoppy finish.

Only needs more hop aroma. Flavor is sweet and hoppy well done. Mouthfeel good for abv. Thin fading head. Nice done pale ale for low gravity. Vanilla yeast flavors. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle thanks to Dallas. Poured to snifter. Nose is moderate in fresh cut grass and lemony citrus. Pours slightly hazy, copper in color. Minimal white head. Some crystal and caramel aroma as it warms. Taste is bitter followed by a slickness of mouthfeel. Ends with a lingering bitterness. Meh.

UPDATED: AUG 4, 2017 This second time this tastes soured. A weird old paint aroma. This is a comprimise score betwewn the two tastings. First go round 3.3 This was a pretty nice 4% pale ale. Light with some hops, it suffers like many of these Utah beers in the finish, in that it trails away, which is certainly a result of the Limited alcohol content.

Bottle via trade sampled at home. Pours a clear dark golden color with a medium to large fluffy off white head. The aroma and flavor are pretty bland, pale malts, somewhat grainy, mild floral and earthy hops, grass, and a light orange fruity note, a slight mineral note, not really anything bad, just not much of anything at all.

Bottle @ Motel 6 SLC. High quality livin. Copper in color with a sticky white head. Mostly just smells like sweet caramel malts and bread. It’s kind of citrusy and grassy, I suppose. Light fruity esters, perhaps, too. Has kind of a sticky, sweet flavor to it, which I don’t really care for. Lots of caramel and brown sugar. Some woody, piney, and grassy hop bitterness on the finish. Not great, but I did buy this at a gas station in the middle of the night.

The first few pulls start out a little hoppy, but it doesn’t stick around. Good strong hoppy aroma plenty of malty flavor finishes smooth. Very drinkable would recommend.
