COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Shannon Irish Red has a beautiful deep copper hue associated with fine Crystal Malts. This ale also has a wonderful malty start, a gentle hop aroma and crisp clean finish. Our red ale has aromatic hints of baking raisin bread — satisfying and perfectly balanced. Shannon Irish Red is our nod to Saint Patrick, the most recognized patron saint of Ireland. Just in case you are curious, we will NEVER brew a green beer.

One of their better beers. Nice copper color with a good head. Medium body. Malt predominance with a slight hop finish.

Shannon has been cranking out some amazing beers lately, and their red is one of the better reds I've tasted. Really delicious beer, I would love to try it on tap with a half and half blonde ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Man, what is there to say about this? It tastes like horsefeed initially. That’s the problem with malty beers. They are a molasses and barley cocktail. Eventually you forget it and just drink it out of habit. Without habits, this beer stays in the keg.

Clear amber with a lasting head. Malty aroma with very little visual carbonation. Medium body with more malt. Hoped nicely to bring out the malt in this one. Finishes dry.

12 ounce can thanks to secret santa Cajun! Hazy dark red-amber, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of intense caramel and crystal malt. The taste is caramel, earth, mild cherry and currant. Medium bodied, high carbonation. A little disjointed but still pleasant.

Can. Pours a dark orange-red-amber with a high, solid, fine-grained, sticky, lacy, off-white head. Nose is raisin bread, roast pecans, treacle, citron, and gentle spice. Solid malt backbone on the tongue with a touch of sweetness; good crusty wheat bread overtone, with roast bitterness underneath. Substantial and authoritative; often Irish reds are wimpy. This one’s not. Finish is bitter and clean. I like this beer.
