12oz can. No apparent code date. Appearance: Jet Black, opaque, with a minimal head and lacing. Almost still.
Aroma: Strong cocoa and light coffee roastq
Taste: Rich chocolate malt sweetness, light coffee roast, some molasses, and a moderate bitterness
Mouthfeel: Fairly heavy bodied with some creaminess, and very low carbonation
Finish: Lingering chocolate with a surprising amount of acrid roast and bitterness
Overall: A very low carbonated, somewhat syrupy, robust porter. Nice chocolate character with a light roast dominate the aroma and flavor, but seems to lack the liveliness that could take this to another level mcberko (20508) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 30, 2017
12 oz. can, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt and a touch of cocoa. Flavour is along the same lines, with dry cocoa, and toasted malt. Dry and toasty. Nice stuff. beastiefan2k (4271) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - DEC 30, 2017
12oz can. Bottom of can says ultraviolet as overrated 11/17/17. Black beer with small brown head. Quickly dissipating head. Aroma is strong with vanilla and other spices. Flavor is light roast and acidity with light mix of spices. A little light on body. A mild spices porter, that's it. DalzAle (2040) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - NOV 24, 2017
Can thanks to Woodchopper on BA! Dark black pour, 1/4 inch head and an aroma of light chocolate and a little vanilla. Flavor is roasty peat, chocolate, creamy vanilla and hints of coffee. Not sure I could do more than one of these in a night (since it's pretty rich), but certainly a solid beer. Dfonorow (2358) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 9, 2017
On tap @ Side Project. Pour is opaque brown with a small khaki head. Notes of dark malt, cocoa, earth, and a bit of pine resin.

It pours deep brown with a tan head. The aroma has coffee, caramel, hazelnuts, smooth roast, chocolate and a bit of fudge. It has a medium rich body with mild carbonation. The taste has deep roast, dark fruit, chocolate cake and coffee. Delicious. jtclockwork (17941) - , New Jersey, USA - APR 21, 2017
Bottle thanks to Keir - pours black tan head - nose/taste of coffee, chocolate, creamy roast - medium body. Rating number 15,900. phaleslu (11074) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 1, 2017
750 ml bottle. Pours an opaque coffee brown, dark and deep, with a good finger of frothy tan head that takes a minute to settle, eventually into a ring and a bit of lace in the glass. They’re not wrong - loads of chocolate, milder roast, toast, earth, and a hint of dark fruit. And the palate is really smooth, velvety even, with great balance and moderate carbonation. Well executed porter. b3shine (9422) - Indiana, USA - MAR 23, 2017
750 ml bottle to pint (shared with the Mrs.). Looks perfect for the style; a slightly translucent very dark cola with foamy darker beige head. Smells of dark malt, cocoa, hops, toast, and roast. Tastes like it smells with a pleasantly bitter yet creamy medium full-bodied mouthfeel. A great porter.
