This is my favourite beer, and when served properly is a true classic of its type. The ratings I have given I truly believe. This beer has everything. Poodu99 (5) - Exeter, - APR 4, 2002 does not count
A very very nice beer, dark in colour, but light flavour and easy to drink! One of Sharps best! thejackpacker (454) - East Sussex, ENGLAND - FEB 10, 2017
Bottle at home (one of MANY). Doombar is a special beer for me, the beer of hours of conversation with my best buddies. It is supremely drinkable, very light caramel, watery (which helps it go the distance). In a bottle, it is different from cask, can be served very cold, looks beautiful and is way more refreshing. Lovely, sweet, simple tasting. Deep and crisp flavour that rolls off the tongue and begs you to have another bottle. kaziopiwosz (393) - Warszawa / Wałbrzych, POLAND - AUG 30, 2014
Smooth taste with some bitter and malty background. Full palate with some grassy nutes. Medium-long finish. Snowy white head, thick, stays long on top. Copper colour.

A wonderful and very drinkable amber beer. Toffee notes make the beer very appealing. Gentle bitterness on the palate rounds off a great beer. AtronSeige (1538) - Johannesburg, SOUTH AFRICA - JUL 18, 2013
Aroma: Rich malty, light hops, dark fruit,
Appearance:Clear copper, small off-white head.
Taste: Medium bitterness, slight malt sweetness, light fruitiness, medium dry finish
Palate: Medium low carbonation, light body.
Overall: A nice aroma, good taste, but I expected a bit more flavour. But I will happily drink a few.
500 ml bottle, poured. Thanks Andre! MissPxx (991) - Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 21, 2013
I'm a big fan of Doom but it is bitterly disappointing in a bottle. Cask is much much superior. Still the same old Doom but just missing some oomph!

A decent British real ale. Taste dominated by the malts, leaves a bready taste. Tried this with Paul on the boat on the Thames (11-9-11) tampierre (1390) - Pilsen, CZECH REPUBLIC - FEB 16, 2013
