Tap @ London w friends/Silverfox and mr & mrs Don. Appearance: pours clear amber with ok off-white soapy head and lacing. aroma/taste: barley, light toffee, light liquorice, berries and floral notes. palette: medium malty and light hoppy aroma, light to average carbonation, light to medium body, medium sweetness, balanced by a medium bitterness, average duration and an oily texture. Overall: Decent pint

Decent if a little boring bog standard bitter. Dried fruits hint of earthy hop notes and slightly bitter finish. Probably most widely available bitter in London these days

UPDATED: DEC 8, 2017 Love(d) Doom Bar but cask is always so disappointing. Either what I love about the beer is just lost in the cask version, or the bars near me can’t pull a tidy pint. Probably both. Pre RateBeer review for personal reference.

Cask at Sadie Inn. Pours a clear amber with a near white head that dissipates to the edges.m Aroma has bread with grains and a hint straw backing. Flavor has straw and grains with a hint of sweetness underlying.

UPDATED: SEP 14, 2017 Bottle: Nice flavour, a little sweet with some vanilla. Taste is dry, malty and flat. A bit disapointing.
