"Delicious jellied fruit aromas blend perfectly with inviting roasted notes. The mouthfeel is succulent with dried fruit, malt and delicate hop bitterness. The finish is lingering and warm with fruit and malt notes."

Drinking this beer reminds me of the ebbs and flows of life itself. From one pint to the next, I am confronted by the full spectrum of human emotion - whilst slowly (but surely) being beckoned into the warm embrace of an old and trusted friend. I do not drink this beer by choice, it has become an event only celebrated bi-monthly - I know it needs to be done, but like a kebab; I only hunger for it as a means sustaining my ability to function in this crazy crazy world. Life is special.

Fra cask på Exeter Inn, Topsham 29 Sep 16. Veldig mørk gyldenbrun. Luftig filmskum. Lett maltaroma. Smaken rosin & svisker. Blir tørr etter hvert.

Cask ale, 5 % abv, half-pint, at Exeter Inn. Bubbly beige head over a deep mahogany coloured body. Spotty lacing. Attractive aroma of dark malts and dark fruits. Flavoured with berry fruits and dark caramel malts. Malt-fruity finish. Medium bodied. Pleasant (Topsham 29.09.2016).

Cask at the Royal Cornwall Show. Ruby with some cream froth. A fruity, malty brew. Not an aweful lot else to report. OK, but not overly interesting.

Cask at the Half Moon, Windlesham, 27/07/13. Dark amber/light chestnut brown with a moderately sized beige head. Nose is bready malt, hop backnotes, light caramel, ribena berry notes, darker fruit tones. Taste comprises berry fruits, light sugar, touch of caramel/toffee, dark fruits, bready malts. Medium bodied, soft carbonation - this cask is on good form, light bitter notes in the finish. Decent fruity ESB, I’ll happily return to this number.
