Lubiere (14150) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 26, 2010
A dark reddish brown porter with a thin big bubbled moka head. An interesting peaty chocolate aroma, wooden, not bad, more smokey. In mouth, an interesting mix of chocolate, light sour cherries, vanilla beans, and sherry cork. A bit thin but interesting. On tap at DBA Brooklyn, 1st Williamsburg Cask Ale Festival, Jan 10 2010.

On tap at Capone’s. Poured a dark hazy brown color with an off white head. Aromas of earthiness, wood, vanilla, chocolate, and lighter bourbon. Tastes of wood, vanilla, chocolate, caramel, and lighter bourbon.

Sammy (12725) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 9, 2012
On tap (nitro) at Capone’s Restaurant. Kudos for going out and getting this kind on thing.Decent enough nitro beer, big and creamy leaving a lace sheet. Sligt coffee aroma. Dark brown. Decent drinkability.

3.5
DocLock (11020) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 15, 2012
Draft at Craft Ale. Pours hazy brown with tan head and nose of earthy woody malt, some vanilla, cherry/berry notes, and some rauchy wafts. Tastes unique, with a definite rauchy malty forefront, then some berry, vanilla, and cacao notes.

3.8
blipp (9691) - La Mesa, California, USA - JUL 19, 2013
Nitro. Pours deep brown with a beige head. Caramel candies, vanilla, light bourbon, light roasted malts, and a ton of sweetness. Pretty good despite being a bit too sweet.

FROTHINGSLOSH (8141) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 15, 2012
UPDATED: MAY 16, 2012 Sample on draft at The House of 1000 Beers this beer poured a black color with a small creamy tan head that lingered and left incredible lacing. The aroma was coconut, vanilla, malted milk and light chocolate. The flavor was moderately bitter and toasty with notes of coconut, vanilla, chocolate syrup, bourbon, malted milk and raisin. There was a light boozy presence that did note distract too much. The fish was long with coconut, vanilla, cocoa and raisin lingering. Thick, smooth and creamy body. Excellent.

dmac (6455) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - MAY 21, 2012
Draught at Capones. Poured a medium density deep dark brown with a foamy light beige head. Aroma of vanilla, bourbon, light roastiness, wood, chocolate. The body is a little thin, softer carbonation and an average duration on the aftertaste. Flavor of vanilla, chocolate, bourbon, toast. Solid beer.

3.6
michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 21, 2012
Draft at Capone’s: Aroma of malt, light Bourbon, vanilla, and some chocolate. Poured very dark brown/ruby in color with a huge, creamy, rocky, brown head that lasted throughout. Clear. Sparkling. Medium sweet and slightly bitter. Tastes of malt, chocolate, vanilla, slight Bourbon, and a hint of roasting. Medium body. Thin, then dry texture. Soft to average carbonation. Malt, light Bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, slight roast finish is medium sweet, slightly bitter, and dry. Not much barrel to it.

3.4
JCB (3999) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JUN 2, 2012
On tap at Capone’s, Norristown. Nice thick body, somewhat oily consistency and a medium head. Nose of sharp booze but also heavy vanilla bean. Body was a bit slick, palate occasionally a bit hot. Flavors were very enjoyable, with the bourbon mellowing alongside vanilla and hints of sweet cherry.

3.6
NikkTwist (3341) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 5, 2013
Khyber Pass. Billed as a Nitro Draft but the carbonation is very low. Opaque brown pour. Tan head disappeared entirely within 30 seconds. Minimal aroma. Delicate dark flavors for a Porter. Vanilla bourbon. Tootsie Rolls. Slight ash. Bourbon barrel flavors are complex but mild. Liquorice. Root beer. Prunes. Not bad but wondering if I had a bad glass of it.
