Dark brown with deep red hilites upto the light and a thick lasting foamy tan head; aroma is sweet vanilla and hints of fruit(cherry?); Flava is sweet rich vanilla caramel with notes of alcohol and slight bourbon; feels rich and creamy with just enough fizz to tease the tongue; finishes dryish with some malty sweet and alcoholic Chalsk (1104) - North Caldwell, New Jersey, USA - JUL 22, 2012
On nitro at Capones. Pours a black color with a caramel colored head. Aroma of caramel, roast, and vanilla, with some chocolate mixed in. A sweet caramel taste with nice roasty notes. Vanilla up front, chocolate through the finish. Really excellent on nitro. FROTHINGSLOSH (8142) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 15, 2012
UPDATED: MAY 16, 2012 Sample on draft at The House of 1000 Beers this beer poured a black color with a small creamy tan head that lingered and left incredible lacing. The aroma was coconut, vanilla, malted milk and light chocolate. The flavor was moderately bitter and toasty with notes of coconut, vanilla, chocolate syrup, bourbon, malted milk and raisin. There was a light boozy presence that did note distract too much. The fish was long with coconut, vanilla, cocoa and raisin lingering. Thick, smooth and creamy body. Excellent. Nitro. Pours deep brown with a beige head. Caramel candies, vanilla, light bourbon, light roasted malts, and a ton of sweetness. Pretty good despite being a bit too sweet. JFURYCAT (1078) - East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 12, 2010
Fresh growler from the brewpub miles from my house not a pub hours away! Woody smoky taste with a chocolate layer to it and a roasted aftertaste. Medium dry with a chewy texture. Bit of a soda-like sour aspect from the bourbon cask underlying the pleasant elements of the beer but its a quality beer nonetheless. Leafs93 (2343) - Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 13, 2012
Pours black with a mocha head. Aroma is roast, vanilla and dark chocolate. Taste was sweet with some bitters. Lighter bodied then expected with some stickiness.
