3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at Capone’s. Pours turbid canary with 1-finger fluffy white head. Nose is fruity, with notes of apricot and pineapple, white pepper, piney hops. Tastes pretty sweet, fairly rich, with tropical fruit and subdued hops. Medium to light palate heft and complexity.
Hazy orange body thin white head and spotty lacing. Mild citrus, caramel, buttered toast, honey, semi-sweet bread. Full bodied with soft carbonation, semi-sweet and lightly boozy throughout, moderate bitterness. A bit too big. Chalsk (1104) - North Caldwell, New Jersey, USA - JUL 16, 2014
On nitro at BRU Craft. Pours a golden color with thick white head. Aroma of caramel. Ligh sweet bitter taste. Really light, watery feel. Really sweet. Did not enjoy. NikkTwist (3304) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 11, 2014
Nitro draft at Khyber Pass. Tulip. Mostly clear gold pour with a tight white head. Thick citrus floral hop flavors. Clementines. Buttered toast with marmalade and red peppers. Pineapple cores. Bamboo. Orange passionfruit. Vanilla varnish. More than a bit unusual - the flavors are generally what you would expect in a watery pale ale but are presented here ramped up with a thick, almost syrupy body. Shawnee tends to be hit or miss for me and I’m on the fence about this one. Still points for doing something different! boxofrane (2553) - Spring City, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 20, 2013
Nitro at railroad. Pours hazy yellow with a medium sized white head. The aroma is light but has some florals and maybe lemon? The taste is insanely light for the abv and is almost a light floral pale. italianjohn (3225) - Penndel, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 10, 2012
On nitro pour ... Pale golden pour, thin creamy off white head and striped lacing .... aroma is light and of caramel malts and thats about it .... taste is of caramel malts and light citrusy hops with a decent bitter bite that lingers into the dry finish ... abv hidden very well, but sadly its a boring pale ale DeputyAndy (636) - Ambler, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 16, 2012
Draft at Capone’s on nitro. Straw pour with a white head. Smell is floral hops. Taste is nicely hopped. Feels like there are layers of pine and citrus flavors going on. Only had a small taste but it was decent. hopdog (12953) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 10, 2012
On tap at Capone’s. Poured a golden color with a small sized head. Fruity with a trace of spices. Semi-sweet. Thinner body and overall a tad on the thin side. Travlr (25771) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUN 8, 2012
Draft. Cloudy golden amber color, massive thick white head. Aroma of peppery straw. Taste is bitter straw. reggiedunlop (3726) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 23, 2012
Pours a clear golden/amber with a medium white head. Aroma is sweet and malty...buttery caramel...mild earthy hops. Flavor is sweet and malty up front...buttery...and bitter and earthy towards the end. Mouthfeel is full and syrupy with an earthy/buttery dry finish. Nasty terrible diacetyl bomb.
