UPDATED: MAR 2, 2011 On tap at brewery. Pours a crystal clear tea - brown with a one finger head. Aroma is predominantly toasted malt, a little bit of burnt sugar. Very basic Vienna, no flaws but not outstanding in any way. If anything it is a little watery and light bodied. Went down well with my lunch, though. rugbydude05 (478) - Bridgewater, NJ, New Jersey, USA - FEB 20, 2011
Pint on tap at the Gem and Keystone. Copperish color, very clear and not hazy at all, almost like apple juice. Aroma is of heavy malt character with some toastiness and a little yeastiness. Like the other Shawnee beers the aroma dosent really jump out at you but is very smooth and agreeable when you do notice it. Taste is predominantly sweet with a little bitterness present especially at first. Palate is full, not much carbobation, slight sweet aftertaste. Good offering, easy to drink., nice to pair up with a meal. JoeMcPhee (10137) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 20, 2010
Cask at dba Brooklyn. Pale amber pour. Nose is clean and toasty with a little bit of light, fresh herbal hoppiness. Clean vienna malt flavour with a slight astringency on the back. Soft and sweet with a solid balance and a lingering crackery character. vtafro (7451) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - FEB 12, 2010
Cask @ rattle n hum. Not even the best beer I have had from this small brewery, cask pour didn’t seem to effect the beer. Not difficult to stomach but no reason to drink again. Some light malt and hop characteristics but nothing much to talk about. kramer (6991) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 28, 2010
On tap, at brewery. Pours a dark copper body with a foamy off-white head that left some nice lacing. Toasty malt nose with some light hops and a touch of graininess. The flavor is pretty clean, fairly well lagered, the fruitiness is pretty minimal. Dry and toasty with some light bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied, fairly crisp on the finish with a lit of lingering sweet maltiness. Not bad, pretty decent really.

Cask. Pours an autumn body with a white head. Light dusty hop tones, sweet bitter lagered tones. Its like a premium lager, with some mild tart fruit, hay, and a bittersweet finish. Eh. PilsnerPeter (3049) - Flushing, New York, USA - JAN 14, 2010
Cask at Brooklyn dba: Pours a headless deep copper. Vacant, mild fruity aroma. Some fruity malt notes mesh with a toasted biscuity note. Slick body- the flavor displays some hearty bready notes along with a touch of "lagered" fruitiness. Not quite as clean as I’d hope. Mild peppery back from the dryness (but low hop presence). One dimensional and could be cleaner.
