COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named after one of the famous ’front four’ trails on Mt. Mansfield, this I.P.A. is brewed in the English tradition of pale ales shipped from Britain, around Africa, to India. Those ales contained extra hops and a higher alcohol percentage, which both served as natural preservatives. This ale holds true to those original, defining characteristics. Formerly "National IPA".

DYCSoccer17 (3697) - Woodland, California, USA - MAY 28, 2013
12 ounce bottle purchased at the Rouses Point Beer Emporium. This bottle is about a month old with bottled on day #124. The aroma is a little sweet with a bit of a soapiness before it becomes pretty darn earthy and a little spicy with hops. Scantly hazy copper body with a medium off-yellow head. Starts with a little spicy and herbal hop flavors. Becomes a little toasted in the middle with some light malt huskiness. Finishes with more herbal and earthy bitter hop flavors. Mild to high bitterness. A well-crafted IPA, but it’s fairly standard and nothing that is mind-blowing. Good nonetheless.
