A wonderful taste of Vermont! Definitely a rugged brown ale. Enjoyed at lakeside in NH.

It’s have a high alcohol content and very smooth. A non IPA taste. Not a huge head which I like. I read the reviews but I really like it. I’d like to try the other offers of SHED brewery.

Roasted fruity malt aroma. Brown ruby red body. Sweet and spice upfront which is quite different. Has a soft silk mouth-feel.Sort of a boozy feel in background. Finish is mildly bitter and leaves you wanting more. Very drinkable and at this abv be careful. logolovesbeer (4) - USA - OCT 2, 2007 does not count
Great beer and best when consumed right in the bar at the Shed Brewery in Stowe, VT. Given the alcohol content, less than a few will do. bigben873 (257) - Virginia, USA - MAR 27, 2014
An excellent dark, full flavored beer. Nice hops but not bitter. Not malty.

Small is nutty deep and robust. Hints of wood in there as well. Rich brown color. Nutty taste with nice malt profile finish. Taste could linger on tougue all day and wouldn’t complain. Has the potential to be one of the best brown ales. Nice brew. tekstr1der (490) - New Hampshire, USA - DEC 12, 2015
Pours brown with a slightly reddish tint, with minimal, but lacy white head. Aromas are malty sweet caramel and mild nuttiness. Flavor is similar - sweet and bready qualities. Finish is clean and fairly dry. Pretty decent stuff. axilla (962) - New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 11, 2004
UPDATED: DEC 27, 2004 Medium/dark, murky brown with a very rocky head that does go quickly. Has a sort of graham cracker taste with toasted malts and a slight alcohol warming feel. weeare138 (936) - Collegeville, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 7, 2005
On tap at Coyote Cafe...
Appears a dark brown with a 2 finger creamy white head and decent spotty lacing.
Smell is sweet and of creamy caramel, toffee, and vanilla mixed with toasty malt.
Taste is creamy smooth vanilla, caramel, and chocolate all swirled with a hoppiness that cuts in at the end.
Mouthfeel is super smooth and creamy with a great overall feel. Nice sweet and hoppy finish. bugsizzy (70) - USA - MAR 26, 2013
nice deep brown hint of red appearance . I really enjoyed the maltiness of this; smoother, sweeter less roasted than other brown ales I've tried recently. I really enjoyed it.
