Leeds Beer Festival 2017. Dark, very palatable texture, has some good but not stated roasted malts with a liquorice aftertaste that lingers. dogbomb (1253) - ENGLAND - FEB 19, 2016

On cask at Coach and Horses, Dronfield - a bit light for a porter, easy on the nose and palate, and very drinkable. Missing the usual smoky notes and bitter aftertaste I’d expect, but still one I’d recommend. DanielBrown (4546) - Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, ENGLAND - APR 1, 2012
Hand pulled at the Gardener’s Rest, Sheffield. Amber colour and good lacing (which seems a feature of the Sheffield beers I’ve supped so far). Sweet coco finish, verging on coffee. Thin in the mouth. Bitterish Porter. Easy drinking.

Tasted this porter at the Troon Beer Festival in October 2011. Cask, gravity dispense. Dull black in colour with no head. Strong treacle toffee notes in the long sweet aroma. Thin mouthfeel and no head. Dark malts give a sweet flavour of chocolate fudge, molasses and syrupy dates. Very little hop resins noted in the short aftertaste but sweetness continues into the malty finish with hints of drinking chocolate and toffee. A good session porter but maybe too sweet for some. Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 7/03/2011. Reddish brown with a slight, off-white head. Sweet, fruity aroma with some roasted malts. Flavour of earthy malts with red berry fruit and a dry finish. Fine. Ungstrup (38384) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - FEB 9, 2011

Cask at St Albans BF 2010. Dark brown colour. It’s a decent beer. Rather good, full in the mouth. Decent fruit. Good roast dryness on finish. Decent and very drinkable.
