COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

HippyHop (689) - Quebec, CANADA - NOV 12, 2017
UPDATED: NOV 12, 2017 Pours a murky gold with lots of sediment and a small shortlived white cap. Nose is sweet and fruity: candied orange peel, tropical fruit, light soap; sweet, fruity yeast; sugary, biscuity malt. This hits some nice notes but overall it feels too heavy and not quite juicy enough to be a NEIPA.

Tasting at SF, Vancouver, can
Cloudy blond color. Citrusy, orangey aroma. Moderately sweet, relatively low bitterness, good juicy hops, pale malt base, a bit chalky.
Very good.

473ml can @ the office. Pours a hazy golden colour with nearly no head. Nose is yeasty with a fragrant hop note. Flavour is hoppy, yeaster, and finishes somewhat dry and btiter pine.

Can - Grassy and Passionfruit. Cloudy gold with almost no head. Light grains, some black tea and a light citrus pith.

Tall can (thx, Alex Led.!) at Brian's office. Pours a dirty murky golden with a weak white head. Aroma is tropical fruits with pinapple notes. Taste is similar. Quite good.

Hazy dull tan. Not much head. Resinous hop nose, fairly yeasty, with pine and grapefruit. Bitter hop, has a piney note, some orange, and has a yeasty note as well. OK example - I do like the expressive hop on this one, if it is a touch dirty compared with others in the style.

Solid white head on an unfiltered amber/straw body. Nose features fresh fruit and a hint of pepper. Another solid Vermont-style IPA out of Quebec. Citrus and tropical hop-driven fruit notes, including grapefruit, pineapple, melon and kiwi. Smooth, fresh and juicy. Medium viscosity and slightly slick in the mouth.

Excellente.

473 ml can purchated at Les Marchands de Bières in Sainte-Thérèse (Québec) on August 31, 2017. Hazy honey gold, small head. Herb citrus aroma, very hoppy. Juicy hop citrus taste, dry but fresh, nice bitterness. Not original but very good!
