Thanks to kmweaver for the bottle. Nice aroma of peaches, skin and all. Very clean. Real good looking beer with a nice body and great peach fruit flavor. Caramel and wheat balance the fruit sweetness. Doesn’t seem so wheaty overall to me for a hef but overall it good and drinkable especially on a hot day. kmweaver (3207) - Petaluma, California, USA - MAY 20, 2008
12oz bottle. Pours a clear, medium tarnished golden color; fluffy off-white head with solid retention and medium-bubbled lacing. Peach juice / syrup and toasted basic malts in the aroma; prototypical dry, syrup-based Shenandoah fruit presence. Average levels of carbonation; medium mouthfeel: peachy / apricot fruit syrup; some sugary malts and a touch of wheat, but very little to distinguish this as any sort of hefeweizen; mostly bland fruit syrup. Decently dry, but very one-dimensional. Quick finish: peaches and breadiness.
