Clear light to medium orange amber color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel. From tap at Charlies. Pours clear and golden orange with a small tan head. Mild fruity and slight roa ted malty aroma. Sweet overripe fruity flavoured at first. Slight mouldy note following. Light liqourice note following. Mild roasted and slighty dark in the malt flavours. Lasting fruity flavoured and sweet impression into the finish. Subdued bitterness.

An amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, but also light notes of hops, served quite cold on draft, which kills some of the potential aroma. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel with some odd hop notes combined with butterscotch, leading to a dry bitter finish. Not my hop sort.

Bottled. Ambery golden colour, small beige head. Aroma is floral and wooden hops along with some slight fruity notes as well as bready malts. Flavour is rather much the same in a nice balance. Also some slight yeasty notes in it.

Bottled at Fox & Anchor, Karlskrona. Clear amber, rocky head. Soapy aroma. Fairly sweet with medium body and clean rounded mouthfeel. Lightly nutty/caramelly with perfume and syrup on a distance. Slight resiny bitterness with notes of alcohol.

Papsoe (25062) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 11, 2005
(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, very pretty nutty colour with a handsome, tall and bubbly head leaving lots of laces. Unusually potent for an ESB, but in spite of a good and rounded body, the alcohol isn’t really too present. Nutty maltiness with an underlying sweetness and some good, bitter hops in the finish. 150502

23rd May 2008. Reasonably well balanced ale. Malt just slightly dominant. Finishes with a subtle banana note. Quite drinkable.

Bottle at home ... Copper colour ... Sharp fruit hop nose ... Fruity with a little caramel malt ... tiny clove touch ... quite grapefruit and a bit bitter in linger... All round not to bad and better than id expected.
