, Stockholm. Hazy ambr colour, small off-white head. Aroma is mild smoked notes, some peated notes, fruits, liquorice and mild grassy notes. Flavour is smoked peat malts, some toffee, caramel, fruits, earth and some slight notes of liquorice. Very nice.
Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Lightly hazy nut nrown. Smoky chocolate aroma. Mid sweet and rather fruity. Solid bodied with dense, rounded mouthfeel. Complex flavour: grainy with cocoa and smoke, no traces of Shepheard Neame’s house flavour. Mid bitter finish. rlgk (18850) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 7, 2010
Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Amber colored beer with a somewhat bubbly offwhite head. Malty sweetish aroma, fruity and bready. Malty fruity flavor, spicy, hoppy, peppery, toffee notes, some milk. gyllenbock (9328) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 16, 2010
On tap at Akkurat.
Dark amber with a small, creamy slightly tan head. Aroma of malt, fruit, caramel. The taste was better than a "regular" cask ale, however rather thin. A lot of malt, caramel, fruit, bread and also some notes of smoke. Highly drinkable and quite ok.

(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of caramel, dark fruit and hints of smoke. Malty, fruity taste with dried fruit, caramel, hints of smoke and earthy hops in the finish. More than medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Overall well balanced with alcohol well hidden. Very nice.

It poured a dark hazy brown-amber liquid with a small dirty white head.
A mild smell of malt, toast and a hint of fruit.
Lots of malt, toast a bit of mixed fruit. Bitterness of the kind that I relate to burned toast. Relatively mild flavour despite the 6%.
Smooth and creamy mouthfeel, medium-thick body and no carbonation. Also a bit dry.
Nice to finally get a cask ale with some flavour. My last visit to London wasn’t to succesfull with all the watery non-tasting cask ales I tried. This one is packed with malty flavours. However I felt it got a bit to one-sided. Would have loved some more residual sweetness since it was fairly dry. I guess you aren’t surprised if I say I would have wanted a dash of hop aroma as well. I think both of those things would have given the beer a better balance. Now it has a bit to dry and malty feel. However it’s not a bad beer, it’s actually pretty good and definitely worth a buy. I also think it would work great with some food.

Cask at Akkurat October-10
Dark brown with a bubbly tan head.
Roasted in both aroma and flavour; nuts and chocolate.
Medium bitterness with leather and stable-notes. TEJA (3106) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JAN 7, 2011
Cask at Akkurat.
Typical cask foam, beige almost brown. Just a litle clowdy. Piny hop aroma with caramell and typical english in the aromas with a litle fruit. Strong but very well balanced english strong Aale. Some malts ( chocolate and dark chrystal) and a godd bitterness in the taste. A sipping beer. pilsnerrogge (2961) - Finspång, SWEDEN - NOV 7, 2010

Pours a hazy, amberish brown colour with a small bubbly head. Sour, smokey aroma. Earthy, somewhat toasted flavour with sour, smoked notes. Bitter finish.
Slightly smoky aroma of malt, fruit and caramel. The taste is basically the same, a little thin and watery and with a hefty bitterness in the aftertaste. The beer was served too cold and the taste was better when the beer became warmer. Works well with food.
