Warning! Early amateur rating! On tap at the Sun Inn, Kelvedon. AKA Nuns Delight! Mild dark ale, malty, not too sweet but not that bitter either. Drinkable.

Reddish amber colour. As usual with Shepherd Neame beers, hops predominate, but with more fruit and malt than in their other beers. Some nutty/fruity notes on the palate, but the hoppy bite takes over and dominates by the finish. Quite full bodied, but drinks easily. By no means a session beer, not least because it is rare to find it on draught. Incidentally, the cask version is slightly weaker than the bottled at 5%, but a better beer to my mind (when well kept). Handpump, Shepherd Neame brewery tap, April 2003.
