COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle and can: Filtered.
Launched 1958.
Bishops Finger takes its name from the finger-shaped signposts which pointed pilgrims on their way to the tomb of Thomas a Becket in Canterbury and was the first strong ale to be brewed by Shepherd Neame after malt rationing was eased in the late 1950s. It is one of the UK’s oldest bottled beers, brewed since 1958.
Bishops Finger holds EU Protected Geographical Indication, recognising its unique provenance. Uniquely, it is brewed to a charter which states it can only be brewed by the head brewer on a Friday and that it must be brewed using 100% natural ingredients, Kentish hops and barley, and the brewery’s own artesian mineral water.

Clear, brown, minimal head, just looks kind of flat and sad in the glass. Medium body, slick feel, rather fizzy. Tastes nice though, clean, resinous hops, good balance with the malt, nice long finish but slightly bitter. Spoiled by the fizziness for me.

Clear bottle: A brownish color with an off white head. Aroma is malty. Taste is a mix of malts and bitter. Very to style. Light metallic in finish, but it was also shipped to Qatar so that could explain that.

Aromat karmelowy, słodki, herbaciany, w smaku- mulące, słodowe, karmelowe, goryczka niska i nieprzyjemnie ziołowa

From estucerveza. In Ikea's pint glass. Playing The Secret Monster Society. Ultra drinkable. Caramel with perfectly adjusted english earthy hoppyness. Not watery at all, unlike other kentish ales

UPDATED: SEP 21, 2017 Købt i Netto. Orangebrun i glasset. Tydelig malt i næsen. Malt og brød i munden. Lidt sødme og medium krop. Meget behagelig øl uden nogen irriterende elementer. Positiv overraskelse.

nybol (2281) - DENMARK - SEP 17, 2017
middel maltsmag, med karakter af toffee, karamel og lyst brød. Nogen restsødme findes også i øllen. Kraftig humlesmag og -bitterhed.

5.4% alk. Nezanimljivo pivo, teško je uopće i opisat kakav joj je okus kada baš i nema neki okus. Ali pio sam i puno lošije "Lidlove kraftove". Al ova bar ima normalni postotak alkohola.

Rubinowa barwa, bardzo obfita piana ładnie sie utrzymuje. Zalegająca goryczka, poza tym trochę pusto. W aromacie czuć chmiel, ale ogólnie mało intensywnie. Dobre wysycenie, ciekawe piwo

Flot rød øl uden det store skum. Humlet frisk smag med god bitterhed. Ok øl. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
