COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle and can: Filtered.
Launched 1958.
Bishops Finger takes its name from the finger-shaped signposts which pointed pilgrims on their way to the tomb of Thomas a Becket in Canterbury and was the first strong ale to be brewed by Shepherd Neame after malt rationing was eased in the late 1950s. It is one of the UK’s oldest bottled beers, brewed since 1958.
Bishops Finger holds EU Protected Geographical Indication, recognising its unique provenance. Uniquely, it is brewed to a charter which states it can only be brewed by the head brewer on a Friday and that it must be brewed using 100% natural ingredients, Kentish hops and barley, and the brewery’s own artesian mineral water.

SmokingJack (158) - Staszów, POLAND - AUG 16, 2017
Butelka. Ciemny bursztyn, średniej jakości, beżowa piana. W aromacie dominacja karmelu i słodów, w tle ziołowe nuty. W smaku słodkie, karmel, słody, nuty opiekane, odrobina ciemnych owoców w tle. Goryczka średnia, ziołowa, trochę zalegająca, ciało i wysycenie na średnim poziomie. Typowy, klasyczny Bitter, bez większych wad, ale i bez rewelacji.

Totally old school. Caramel and bitter alcoholic vibe throughout the beer. Something biscuits and toasted notes, overall very malty.

daab007 (144) - Kraków, POLAND - AUG 12, 2017
PIana kremowa, dużo resztek na szkle. Dość trwała; regeneruje się po zamieszaniu. Kolor ciemnego bursztynu. W zapachu kwiatowość, karmel. Smak: wyraźna goryczka, z delikatnym posmakiem skórek owocowych.

poznan (45) - POLAND - AUG 11, 2017
Barwa brązowo-bursztynowa. Piana średnia, trwała, drobnopęcherzykowa. W aromacie głównie słód, trochę ziół. W smaku zdecydowanie karmelowo-słodowe, gładkie. Goryczka średnia. Proste piwo, bez poważnych uchybień.

AaronIPAAPA (235) - Warsaw, POLAND - AUG 5, 2017
Klarowne, barwa bursztynowa, piana sredniej wysokości. W aromacie glownie skunks. Kurde straszny, przykrywa wszystko inne. Ehh. W smaku wodniste, jakaś bardzo delikatna paloność i karmelowość. Goryczka bardzo niska. Nie warto było.

Karbulot (46) - Gdańsk, POLAND - AUG 5, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 13, 2017 Wyraźna goryczka, w smaku słodowe, zbożowe. Ładny ciemnobursztynowy kolor. Kupiony w Lidlu za 8 zł za dwie butelki, polecam
