2003 edition opened 2015. Very good for a 12 year old ale but the taste are not what I expected.

UPDATED: JAN 21, 2010 A Mes rate. 2004 bottle at Chris O’s Kook Fest tasting.
Amber colour with a thin beige head. Amazingly fruity plus lots of caramel and slight oxidisation. A typical Sheps stamp on it and there are still some hops hanging around five years on giving a reasonable bitterness to the finish, balancing it out nicely. Decent stuff.

DonMagi (5593) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 24, 2009
Bottle at chris_o’s "smash kook’s granny tasting". Alround rating: Pale sweeter malt, bit of cardboard, not of dry sherry, fairly thin body as you’d expect after this time but the fruity richness keeps it tasty.

Bragesnak (5394) - Aarhus, DENMARK - DEC 18, 2008

Bottle. 2005 version. Medium head with medium duration. Color is clear amber. Aroma and taste are fruits, malt and hops.

ekstedt (6937) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 16, 2007
Bottle (50 cl) from Systembolaget. Sampled in January 2006. Clear amber with a medium off-white head. Fruity and caramelly aroma with subtle notes of figs and prunes, and floral tropical fruits. Medium bodied with creamy mouthfeel. Niceley balanced with a bitter edge. A personal favourite but not really a Christmas Ale.
