Teran (332) - Belgrade, SERBIA - AUG 2, 2015
Malty and fruity Christmas Ale in white transparent bottle. Light copper colour with nice beige top. Watery with light body. Not good. Dry and bitter, medium carbonation. Hop character is not strong, some orange biscuit and caramel. Good.

Cask @ Mug House, London Bridge, London
Pours clear deep golden with a small off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, floral. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long caramel finish. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is flat to soft.

Aroma: hints of hops, maybe bit of grass. Appearance: hazy, darkish gold - not very nice. Taste: bland, bit sour. Palate: zero carbonation, flat, lightly bitter. Overall: does not work for me - missing anything special about Christmas. Pint at Davy’s Canary Wharf, London.

dogbomb (1244) - ENGLAND - DEC 12, 2012
Cask. Amber ale with decent white bubbles. Heavy cloves and spices on nose. Even heavier clove taste in the mouth, with a smidgin of tangerine and banana. A bit heavy handed with the "Christmas" but it's decent as a special one-off sup.

Not a fan. Its even duller and more unimaginative then Masterbrew or Spitfie. Smells quite promising off the pour, Something quite heavy and dark spicy and full bodied. Tastes bad. As if they have thrown whatever in there to see what happens and if it turns out bad no matter, because its a yearly seasonal ale and people will by it anyway as a novelty. I’m not a fan of Shepherd Neams main ales such as Masterbrew and Spitfire or even Canterbury Jack and Celebration ale. However I am a fan of a couple of their seasonal ales such as Early Bird and Late Red shame Christmas Ale did not reflect the latter two’s greatness.

Ungstrup (38238) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JAN 9, 2011
Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. A slightly hazy golden beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma has notes of hops, grass, and fruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, fruit - especially citrusy, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

thewolf (12742) - Kolding, DENMARK - DEC 16, 2010
Cask @ Charlies Bar, Cph.
Pours clear golden amber with a small, staying, creamy, off-white head. Aroma is mild, has caramel, a light chocolate hint, oranges and good grassy hops. Medium carbonation, good creamy and rather dry mouthfeel. Flavour is lovely hoppy, dry and bitter. Some caramel, light sweetness, piney en masse with some grassy notes. Lovely and very drinkable.
