There’s a spicy signature to this incredibly complex cockle-warming winter ale. The nose is reminiscent of raisins, dates and molasses while the palate is vinous with tannin-like notes of leather, vanilla, apricots and a hint of rustic Armagnac on the finish. An awesome after-dinner drop.

Flaske 500ml. Spandert av Rune. Delt med ham og djoeye i WCveien 9 Jan 17. Gyldenbrun. Middels høyt skum med litt farge. Pen kniplingslacing. God aroma av honning & karamell med hint av frukt. Smaken som aromaen. Bra fylde. Grei - men litt tungdrikkelig. Ikke mye julepreg.

500ml bottle bought at Systembolaget PK-huset,. Stable pearl white head, spotty lacing. Bright amber in body colour. Smell of dried fruits and caramel. Malt-fruity flavours of honey, caramel and dried fruits, lightly spiced with cinnamon. Malt-fruity end, rather sweet. Fine bodied. Nice, a bit heavy to drink though (Shared with Finn and djoeye at a session in Tromsø, 09.01.2017).

Aroma; honey, caramel, mild dry prunes, xmas raisins. Look; big fine off white head, golden clear body. Taste; honey, caramel, toffee, apple, dry prunes, some raisins – monotone sweet finish. Feel; ok. Overall; sweet thing, no holiness. [50cl.btl 7% BB:# provided by Rune [email protected] Session]

Smells of malts and mild spices. Pours a redish gold colour, and head disappears quick. Taste is of an ale with very mild spice notes. Good carbonation, with very little aftertaste.. Overall I was happy with this one. Will buy again at Christmas.

Medium fizzy off-white head with medium retention leaving a thin ring. Clear reddish amber. Aroma is caramel, some licorice, ripe fruit, prune. Taste is medium malty, bitter, caramel (brown sugar), sweet spicy, fruity (raisin). Bitter finish. Watery palate.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with small white head. Aroma and taste have sweet malt, fruits, caramel and roastiness. Has small bitterness too. Ok, but nothing special really.

UPDATED: DEC 27, 2016 From Cerveceria Internacional. In Ikea?s pint glass. Reading JHTP11 Ch 21. Deliciously sweet, with some zesty notes that Im not sure if they come from spices or hops, and really, really moreish.
