Theres a spicy signature to this incredibly complex cockle-warming winter ale. The nose is reminiscent of raisins, dates and molasses while the palate is vinous with tannin-like notes of leather, vanilla, apricots and a hint of rustic Armagnac on the finish. An awesome after-dinner drop.

Bottle from Systembolaget, Sweden. Lasting beige head. Huge caramell and woody aroma. Sweet caramell taste with a firm bitterness that balance the beer. A nice winter warmer that is smooth and mask its 7 abv.

Doftar fruktigt och bittert, med inslag av kryddor. Smakar karamell och kavring, finns en trevlig bitterhet samtidigt med en stma i eftermaken. Inte alls dum till skinkan och sillen.

Good for a Shepherd Neame beer. Really nice hoppy aroma, bitter hops in the taste with a sweet malty finish and a touch of caramel. Felt a little overcarbonated but nice beer overall.

50 cl bottle @ home, BBE 03/2013
Aroma is rather strong on goldings; toffee, some caramel and hints of strawberries. Rather creamy palate. Flavour has toffee and caramel. Some strawberries in the finish, hoppy and a bit harsh aftertaste. Typical english strong ale.

Pours a copper colour with a white head. Aroma of English toffee and hops. Flavour of English toffee, hops, ginger, grass and some light fruitiness. Medium bodied, thin mouthfeel and a sweet toffee finish. Boring.
