500ml bottle. Small white thick head which transforms to lacy surface quickly. Clean amber color. Very mild aroma, almost non existent... maybe a little bit hops and citrus. Palate is semi thick, nice tickling carbonation. Flavour is spicy with ginger, citrus and hops. End is sour and some alcohol there also. This beer would be much better with actual aroma.
Bottle, 50cl. Pours clear warm amber with medium stable off white head. Aroma is rich and sweet, red dried fruits. Raisin most dominant. Mild toffee. Fruity and malty with not much else going on at first. Give it time and it will be better. Spices, honey, dry prunes, licorice and earthy hops. Flavor follows the taste. Maybe some cinnamon as well. Bread, apples, malt and more caramel and toffee. Ends medium bitter, metallic and raisins in sweet finish. Medium carbonation, thin body and texture for its style. Quite alright. axl (1085) - Lund, SWEDEN - NOV 18, 2017

Clear copper liquid with head that doesn't last too long. Hit with sweet malts right away. Little syrupy. Light hints of spice. Okay. JohnnieMoonWalkR (2) - - OCT 20, 2017 does not count

Pours an average size frothy head and has a clean amber appearance with a light reddish hue. Fairly thick lacing. Light malty and hoppy aromas, with mild toffee. Nice fruity and lightly spiced flavours with some faint hints of cinnamon and a bit of nutmeg. Slight drying and warming sensation. Nice little tingling on the palate as well. Really warm and inviting ale to enjoy by the fireplace on a cold winter’s eve. Doesn’t get better than that!

Smager sødlig af karamel, let humlet. Det sødlige smager lidt af frugtagtig. jookos (7044) - FINLAND - MAR 1, 2017
bottle. coppery clear. nice smooth caramelly, bit buttery, butterscotchy caramelly nose. medium bodied, tastes a bit herby metallic, slight nutty caramelly. some spicing. malty, caramels, burnt sugary. bit nutty buttery. fine by me. isn’t a really heavily xmassy- spiced drink, unless that buttery thing is it. and it isn’t an unpleasant faulty buttery note, just sorta rounding soothing one. Great strength with lots of warming flavours present. It’s a pity this beer is not available all year round. One of my favourites. stravale (3145) - Co. Westmeath, IRELAND - JAN 22, 2017

UPDATED: NOV 10, 2017 God, men noget ordinær engelsk strong ale. Tilpas med sødme i smagen. Flot udseende og skum.
