4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours copper with a slight head that settles as a vail on the beer. Nice looking, very christmasy. The aroma is jackpot: dried fruit, pipe tobacco and chocolate powder, sweetness and spice blended. I have to say, this beer has the most attractive and delicious aroma I have come across. The taste is more in the spicy department, from the hops. The sweetness in shape of dried fruits and chocolate plays supporting actors while the spicy hops strolls across the tongue. This is a truly fantastic beer. I will buy it and have one with my father on xmas eve.

A Christmas Eve treat. A lovely pour with plenty of lacing and a good beery aroma. There was plenty of malt in the taste it was well balanced by the bittering hops. There was no sign of the alcohol and I know that this beer can be very dangerous from when I drank 3 on Christmas Eve a number of years ago and got wasted. This was in no way Christmassy, but it was exceptionally tasty and smooth on the palate. Defreni (3325) - Husum, DENMARK - DEC 27, 2017
Theydon_Bois (21421) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - DEC 26, 2017

Taste comprises Christmas cake, light marzipan, spice, dates, dried fruits, oak tang, toffee, biscuit crumble.
Medium bodied with a little bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced boost.
This was a pretty decent English Strong ... a pleasant surprise and for me, not in line with the measly 3.17 average score!
