COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This new beer’s name celebrates the historic Cinque Port Confederation, which dates from Norman times, and has been brewed especially for this Wetherspoon real-ale festival. It is deep chestnut in colour and has been hopped, appropriately, five times throughout the brewing process, resulting in a distinctly hoppy nose and fruity palate throughout. Hops Used : Cascade and Target

leaparsons (10551) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 29, 2010
Cask, Last Plantagenet, Leicester. Dark Amber brown with an off-white head. Aromas are toffee and chocolate malts with bready yeast and a light smokiness. Earthy Autumn fruit with some floral and spicy notes. Flavours are chocolate and weetabix malts, soon replaced by a dry peppery and light pine hoppiness. Quite floral and spicy. Interesting.

Cask at Pilgrims Progress (JDW), Bedford, in ’Spoons Beer Festival ’10. Amber with a small off white head. Rich sweet aroma with some strawy hops. Delicious old fashioned earthy malt taste with hints of dark fruit cake. Slight sourness before a mid bitter finish. Best of the Festival so far.
