500ml bottle from Terre de Boissons, Calais. Black beer dark brown edges with lasting tan head. Creamy chocolate on the aroma. Tasty english style stout. I like it. touch of paper comes on the swallow/finish. Not overly roasty, not too much liquorice. I think pretty solid and I’d happily drink this again. Decent. chrisv10 (18846) - DENMARK - MAR 13, 2013

Lovely rich sweet roast aroma. Pretty much black, tight tan head, fairly persistent. Easy in the mouth - roasted and burnt, but not ashy. Soft palate, smooth and full, but quite refreshing with the pleasant gentle carbonation. Burntness peaks in the finish, there’s almost a metallic twang. Very easy drinker, a good example of a proper English stout.
Bottle. It pours a clear-looking dark brown body under a dense, finger thick beige head. The aroma is roasted, with some caramel notes and dried fruits. A bit one dimensional perhaps, but sure good. There’s a lightly burnt note in the flavor, with chocolate and coffee, some caramel and dried fruits. It’s full-bodied and dry with a nice carbonation. Lasting roasted finish with chocolate and coffee. A tasteful and pleasant one indeed. 140207 Benzai (17000) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JUL 25, 2013
