This beats Guinness hands down, sorry Irish folk, nice roasted taste and not too creamy or thin either, Shepherd Neame should produce this all the time. NB mine was a bottled version at 4%abv oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - MAR 20, 2011
Bottled (from K Citymarket Kivihaka, Vaasa). Very deep ambery brown colour with a mediumsized beige head, that leaves nice lace. Aroma is beautiful toffee, roasted notes, mild dark fruityness as well as some coffee. Flavour is roasted malts, some sweet dark fruityness, chocolate, coffee and also some quite bittery notes. Quite strong coffeeish and chocolaty notes in the finish. BrunoVille (50) - BRAZIL - JUN 6, 2013
Very dark, almost black color, with beige foam.
Smells like bread, toasted, and a bit of caramel
Predominant taste is chocolate and toasted, with a bit of coffee

Pours a dark brown colour with a small white head. Aroma of roasted malts and coffee. Flavour of roasted malts, some hops, coffee, milk chocolate, spices and mild nuts. Just great. Medium bodied with a slick mouthfeel and a dry roasty finish with chocolate. Very well crafted for a 4% dry stout.
50cl bottle from K-Kamppi, Helsinki. Poured black with a nice beige lacing head. Aroma has coffee, roasted malt and some chocolate. Flavor similar, coffee and roasted malt, hops quite noticeable towards finish. Smooth palate. Thin, but very enjoyable.

Appearance: Dark brown/black with finger thick ivory tan head.
Aroma: Caramel, toffee, chocolate, coffee note, roast malts, smokiness.
Taste: Medium bitter and sourness with low/medium sweetness.
Palate: THick coarse texture, light body, average carbonation, lingering dry bitter, sour malty, cold coffee finish.
Comments: Very tasty and easy to drink session beer. mikkopen (1164) - Guelph, Ontario, CANADA - APR 22, 2011
500 ml bottle. Deep dark reddish brown colour, medium-sized beige head. Sweetish aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and dark fruit. The flavour is roasted malty, slightly sour, with coffee and chocolate, and a lingering bitter finish. For a beer with just 4 % alcohol by volume, this is very tasty.
