One of the best in style - perfect balance, full body, without any hint to overload sweet. Job well done GB:)

Schwarz. Geruch Karamell und Röstaromen. Geschmack leicht wässrig. Zu wenig Substanz für ein Stout.

Night_Cap (119) - Southern Highlands, AUSTRALIA - OCT 1, 2016
UPDATED: OCT 2, 2016 Bottle 500ml. Served at room temperature. Pours a deep, dark brown with a slight haze and a ruby tint. Head is medium sized, dense, tanned, and lasts wonderfully. Aroma is of earthy hops, roasted barley, brown bread crusts, toasted raw sugar, dried currants, blueberries (light), milk chocolate bullets and faint notes of weak black coffee. Flavour is a light earthy hop bitterness with notes of toasted rye bread; soft liquorice, weak/watery coffee, coco powder (light), horse blanket (light), dried currants, blueberries (light), a touch of treacle, and notes of burnt toast/charcoal in the finish. Light bodied with soft carbonation, watery texture and a long, dry, toasty finish. A VERY pleasant and easy drinking British stout.

Pours black, clear with creamy long lasting beige light. Aroma: intense roasted malt aroma, with notes of burnt, intense roasted coffee beans, dark chocolate. Practically the same are flavors, supported with spicy hop flavor, which steps forward before finish. Finish is dry, sligtly bitter. Body medium, texture is soft, carbonation is medium.

Principally coffee, a bit of caramel, hints of meat, dark brown with a creamy and persistant tan head, light/medium body, soft carbonation, coffee and caramel, dry...an old and simple rediscovered recipe that satisfies today.
