Kolsvart med ljusbrunt skum. Doftar och smakar inte mycket! Förkylning som spökar? Lite kaffe, choklad och lite lakrits kanske. Nytt omdöme nästa gång!

Not bad actually. Pours black with good head and lacing. Roast and a little chocolate like hersheys kiss. Bitter finish. Tap at All Out Sports Bar in Trinidad.

In short: nice traditional british stout.
Pours quiet dark with garnet reflections. Nice off white head. Short head retention, good lacing. Coffee, roasty, dark licorice nose. Medium body, soft carbonation, oily texture. Taste follows the nose, smooth and enjoyable, traditional british stout.

Couleur brune sombre, bonne mousse. Nez malt grillé avec café et chocolat.Gout malt grillé, grain de café avec des notes douces chocolat, le grillé prenant bien le dessus avec bonne amertume de chocolat noir. Bon corps, un peu cremeux. Fin longue malté grillée. Nickel

Copenhagen 19/11 2016. 50 cl bottle from Meny. The label looks like something out of the 17th century. But then again if you present yourselves as "Britains Oldest Brewer" it probably has to be this way. Pours opaque dark dark brown with off-white head. Settles as thin creamy layer of foam. Lacing on the side of the glass. Aroma is rich. Coffee, dark chocolate, oak and s little brown sugar. The main impression is rather bitter. Medium to low carbonation and medium thick palate. Flavor is on the fairly bitter side. Medium sweetness followed by more pronounced bitterness. Bitter aftertaste. Lingering. A lot of flavor for a ABV of 5.2. Even though it is kind of strange to drink a beer with the word "Double" on the label which only have a single digit ABV.

koshack (2017) - Gdañsk, POLAND - NOV 12, 2016
Czarne, nieprzejrzyste. Piana brązowa, drobna, obfita. W aromacie mocne nuty palone, kakao, gorzka kawa.
