Clear medium black brown colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, dark chocolate. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130525]

Bottle shared at the Croydonia July 2013 Tasting - East Croydon. Thanks to Colin for this one. Pours clear brown with a creamy beige head. Dark bready malt nose with light cocoa notes. Light to medium sweet flavor with dirty cocoa, earth. Light bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Simple roasted malt finish, some bitter ash, burnt toast, baking cocoa. Alright.

Taste comprises light roast, dark toffee, hint of cocoa, tobacco, leather. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish. Ok stout - ticks the boxes for the style - nowt ’spesh’ though!
