Light hoppy aroma typical SN. Golden slightly reddish appearance with small fast vanishing white head. Dry hoppy taste. This is an aromatic, dry single variety hoppy beer that is unmistakably SN. However, it is very watery and is disappointing for an SN beer. duff (5486) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - AUG 25, 2002
Deepish gold colour, with nice head which sticks and leaves nice lace. Aroma is hoppy, but not too strong. Quite hoppy, flowery and slightly resiny palate, light, with slight hop bitter finish, kind of a bit bittersweet. mutant (854) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - AUG 11, 2002
Badly skunked (clear bottle) Burnt amber colour & creamy head look good. The woody flavour is ok but nothing special. Has a slimy texture. Geiserich (4659) - Linz, AUSTRIA - JUL 15, 2002
Bottled version. Fresh and aromatic, good hopy aroma........................ rauchbier (3949) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - MAY 14, 2002
Bottled version. Moderate head but overcarbonated. Spicy hop resin nose but thin body is dominated by a dry bitterness from the hops.

Slightly metallic, hoppy aroma. Opens up unpleasantly oily and stale, reminiscent of rancid butter. The middle is plastic. Finishes with a little more decent flavor of malts and hops, but still a real disappointment. HansJM (358) - NORWAY - DEC 2, 2001
Fresh, fruity and mild. Very well balanced, but would have been better with a little more alcohol. Gusler (2652) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - DEC 22, 2000
Crisp, clean, great nose and a hop bite and aroma to die for. A pip out of the bottle, a dream come true as you sit in a pub savoring an Imperial pint.
