Pours clear amber with a fine, bubbly, lightly off-white head. Aroma is mil, some caramel, light citric hoppiness. Low carbonation. Flavour is a bit perfume-like, pretty dry, some apple and a good dry aftertaste. But actually rather dull.

Cask at Bankers Draft (JDW), Bedford, in the ’Spoons Real Ale Festival. Not long since I had this in a bottle and thought it was poor. This was much better. Copper with a small white head. Sweet malt aroma and taste with some bitterness. Ordinary but OK. HarryFlashman (469) - Chatham, Kent, ENGLAND - JAN 27, 2008
They say "an early bird catches le worm" and this Neame Spring ale does thus. It’s a light brown/amber in colour and, for me, tastes like it looks - light, citrusy refreshing and slightly creamy. Very refreshing - bring on the Spring says I! anders37 (26657) - Malmö, SWEDEN - MAY 7, 2007
