King Willliam IV. Thanks to Leighton for this one. Clear amber beer, residual white head. Light palate, smooth and semi dry. Sweet malts, bordering on syrupy. Papery. Tiny bit of English Hop slanted citrus. Smooth finish. In a world with many fine IPAs - this one is rubbish!
bottle at home ... copper ... big foam head ... soft sweet fruits ... soft toffee nose ... light metalic ... fruity orange hop ... actually better than expected Leighton (21255) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 14, 2012
Bottle shared at King William IV, London during the Magic Rock event. Pours clear gold with a frothy, white head. Sugary caramel and bready malts on the nose. Medium sweet flavor rife with caramel and toffee, and further lightly toasted bread. Medium bodied with average, creamy carbonation. Medium sweet finish with more toasty bread, dry caramel, mellow pine. Very pleasant, if quite one-dimensional. Low alcohol presence, lots of sweet bready character. This beer of course is not an IPA; as an ESA, though, it’s pretty alright. Rasmus40 (20645) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - MAY 10, 2013
