Cask at the Crosse key, bank. A clear copper brown coloured pour with a a halo of beige head. Aroma is subdued, toffee, hot alcohol, treacle, burnt liquorice. Dried fruits. Flavour is composed burnt cake rind, dried fruit, liquorice, nutty twiggy malts.. Palate is semi sweet, watery, ok cask condition. Lingering woody bark and liquorice.

The_Osprey (9121) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 12, 2017
Cask handpull at Hamilton Hall London as Shepherd Neame Late Red. Dark amber orange, clear and still with a foamy beige head. Aroma is toffee apple, resin, touch of burnt plastic but not in a bad way. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is robust and resinous, well hopped in a traditional nutty-twiggy way, little floral, toffeeish backbone with a bitterness that seems to stick to the gums. Quite good. (5-4-6-4-14=3.3)

theprof (1236) - Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - OCT 12, 2017
Cask. Pours amber with ruby lights and foam off white top. Aroma is bread cereal malt with light herbal notes. Taste is medium bitter and lightly sweet and then sour in the finish. Palate is medium bodied oily texture, average carbonation, astringent finish. Overall a forgettable bitter.
