Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 28, 2011
Bottle 50 cl. Pours a very dark brown - close to black - with an orange hue and a small off-white head. A pruney aroma, no real roastiness. Medium body, sweet dark fruits and a little licorice. A yeasty and not entirely pleasant edge. 280511

Sample @ CBF. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, caramel and hops.

I’m not an expert on porter, but this is a great product. Carbonitrogen on tap, black as night. Foam is not smooth, creamy texture. Soft touch on the lips, with soft hints of coffee, chocolate, Toffy. Medium body, sliding over the classic stout. A bit ’of sparkling mineral water.

lusikka (7813) - Tampere, FINLAND - FEB 3, 2011
Tap @ Pub Kultainen Apina.
Pours a black colour with a creamy beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, vegetables and chocolate. Flavour of roasted malts, licorice, coffee, hops and some chocolate. Medium bodied with a slick mouthfeel and a dry finish. Pleasant.

Svesse (8598) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JAN 28, 2011
(Draught at Bishop’s Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm) Very dark brown colour, almost black, with brief frothy pale brown head. Roasted, malty nose with notes of coffee, dark rye bread, ashes, dark chocolate and hints of dark berries. Malty, roasted taste with dark chocolate, coffee, dark bread, ashes and some cocoa bitterness in a fairly dry finish. Medium body, mainly dry. Compared to the cask version it’s less fruit and more ashes. Nice and tasty porter.

Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - JAN 28, 2011
Black colored with little beige head. Rich roasted and licorice aroma, thin chocolate also here. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is also rich with roastines and licorice, straightforward brew, afteraste has thin hops with roastiness still.

Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - JAN 18, 2011
Draught at Old Brick’s Inn, Jyväskylä. Black color. The aromas and flavors of licorice, coffee and bitter chocolate. Moderately hopped, enough bitterness for a balance. Dryish fairly smooth palate. Not highly complex but still very enjoyable porter.

Bouteille. Un bon porter, belle couleur noire, nez de caramel et de torréfaction, j’aime ce porter.
